Blue Lighthouse

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-09-24

This policy describes how Blue Lighthouse (“BLH”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use https://bluelighthouse.xyz, including the Video Clipper free trial. Blue Lighthouse is a B2B delivery studio. The service lines are Agent Ops, Chain Build, and Software Build.

Who we are

The website is operated by Blue Lighthouse. Questions about this policy or your information can be sent to contact@bluelighthouse.xyz.

What we collect

Discovery contact form

If you write to us from the site, we collect your name, email address, company name if you provide one, and your message. We use that information to follow up on a Discovery about a business workflow.

Video Clipper free trial

Video Clipper is a free trial. You choose a long video you own from your Google Drive. The worker downloads that file from Drive, makes topic-cut, face-centered clips, and saves the clips back to your Drive. Face detection is used only to frame the crop. We do not build a face-recognition profile or a biometric database from the trial.

Sign in with Google uses openid and email only. Before a sample can run, the trial asks you to check: “Yes, send me updates from Blue Lighthouse.” Subscription is stored by the clip host for that Google account. This website does not write subscription details to the consultations database.

The feedback form collects a message and a category (sample crop, topics, export, captions / ASR, or other). Email, a 1–5 rating, and a job ID are optional. That form is sent to the clip host. This website does not write it to the consultations database. We use feedback to improve the trial.

While a job runs, the page shows status returned by the worker, such as topics, a sample preview, a Drive folder link, and an expiry time if the worker provides one.

Google Drive and OAuth

Continue with Google and Connect Google Drive both happen on the clip host. Sign in with Google requests openid and email only. Connect Google Drive requests drive.file.

  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.fileRead the video you pick in Video Clipper, and create the clip files you asked for. This scope does not let us list or change the rest of your Google Drive. Clips are written into your own Drive. We do not store those clips in a company Drive.
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.emailSign in with Google reads the email address of that account. We use it for your email only.
  • openidIdentify the Google sign-in session.

Google user data from these scopes is used only to provide Video Clipper: connect your Drive, read the video you pick, create the clip files you requested, and show which Google account is connected. We do not sell Google user data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not use it to train a general-purpose model. We do not transfer it except to the clip host that performs the export you started, and as described under Sharing.

Use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Cookies and sessions

A banner asks whether you accept analytics. That choice is stored in your browser. Vercel Analytics loads only if you accept. You can decline, and non-essential analytics stay off for that visit. A theme preference may also be stored in your browser.

Clip processing runs on a separate host (Railway), not in the marketing site. When you connect Google Drive, that host may set a session cookie so later requests from this site stay on your OAuth session. Disconnect on the Video Clipper page ends that session on the worker. Google OAuth client secrets are not stored in this website.

Retention

Discovery messages and feedback are kept so we can reply and improve the trial, until you ask us to delete them or we no longer need them for that purpose. Subscription details stay on the clip host. Finished clips from the public trial are written to your Google Drive. We do not keep those clips in a company Drive.

The worker may hold a job, including a sample preview, while that job runs. The page shows an expiry time when the worker sends one. The Google sign-in on the worker is kept so the app can create the files you asked for. Disconnecting Drive on Video Clipper, or removing Blue Lighthouse’s access in your Google Account, ends that access.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share it only as needed to run the site and the trial:

  • Google, when you connect Drive, so the app can create clip files in your Drive.
  • The clip worker on Railway, which runs Video Clipper and the Google OAuth session.
  • Notion, where Discovery inquiries are saved when that workspace is configured. Video Clipper subscriptions are not written there.
  • Resend, only to notify our studio inbox when a Discovery form is submitted and email notification is configured.
  • Vercel, which hosts this website, and Vercel Analytics if you accept analytics.

Studio staff may read a Discovery message, a trial email, or feedback in order to reply. Staff do not get open access to your Google Drive. A sample or job may be reviewed if you send feedback about that job or ask for help with it.

Your choices and requests

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold, or to withdraw the product and marketing update consent recorded on the trial form. Email contact@bluelighthouse.xyz. You can disconnect Google Drive on the Video Clipper page and revoke the app in your Google Account. You can decline analytics in the cookie banner.

The studio site is aimed at businesses. Video Clipper is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
